- Detangled- with my finger
- pre-poo- with mixture of grapeseed, extra virgin olive, coconut oil.
- shampoo- one wash with natur vital Henna shampoo
- protein treatment- deep conditioned with a mixture of mayo, egg, honey and grape seed oil, and covered with a plastic cap for 45 minutes.
- Rinsed with cold water and diluted apple cider vinegar
- Air dried- 80-85 percent.
I started my hair journey with the intent to achieve healthier, longer relaxed hair, and also trying to cure adult acne and black spots using more natural approach. Now I'm transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair. whether relaxed or natural I now know that African hair can grow long when given right treatment and also shown TENDER, LOVE AND CARE. Hopefully my hard work will pay off and this damaged hair of mine will be healthier and look fabulous.

Nice hair you've got. So nature vital is actually ok without side effects? Cos I'm doubtful of using it.
ReplyDeleteit has sulphate which they say is not good for our hair, cos it strips our hair of its natural oils. but i use very little and leather just once and then use conditioner.
DeleteNice..Taking down my braids too...are there side effects from re-touching too often?
ReplyDeleteit all depends on your type of hair. but over doing it will definitely make your hair weak.
DeleteI really love what you're using on your hair! I like that it is simple products that I can make on my own. I'm seriously considering trying a few of your concoctions!
ReplyDeletelol !!!! my sis i tend to use simple products because they are really cost friendly.
DeleteSix weeks is a long time, but I love the growth and your regimen.
ReplyDeletethanks nerline. i remake the edges after 2 weeks also wash.
Delete6 weeks seems like ages to me, I cant seem to have on a particular hairstyle for more than 2 weeks.

6 weeks for braids is not long.
DeleteI can wear braids longer dan that.
i really wanted to go for 8 weeks. but i got bored of the braids. 8 weeks is the longest safe time to keep in braids.
DeleteYour hair looks really healthy!
ReplyDeletethanks sugar.

I keep braids, weaves, etc. in for at least 2 months.....but it's usually longer. I tend to ride out a hair style *don't judge me*. But my stylist keeps my natural hair really healthy.
ReplyDeletetrust me i understand you so so much. i also keep protective style for long. but not over 8 weeks.

thanks dazzy. i really treat my edges with extra care, and i try to remake them after every 2 weeks so that there is no tension on my edges.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could wear protective styles longer. I tend to get bored and want to change it.
ReplyDeletei need someone to take my braids out!!! your hair looks nice and thick.
ReplyDeleteWow, your hair looks really healthy...I've got braids in at the moment, I'm hoping to keep them in for 8 weeks but will probably take them out after 6-7 weeks. Did you wash your hair while your braids were in?
